Student presentations were excellent
A week ago I had the most rewarding experience of attending the public exhibition of the work of the Animas High School students. I entered the exhibition with my preconceived notion of another typical school open house with a few papers on the wall, maybe an art project or two and a couple of the standard “What a pleasure it is to have your child in my class” from the teachers. My preconceived notion of the exhibition could not of been further from the truth.
The students actually were leading and displaying what they learned. There were exhibits of different herbs and vegetables that were grown by the students, and they were available to answer all the questions that I had about wheat grass, as well as exhibits in the physics department that showed what they had learned about light and sound.
If you ever have the opportunity to attend an exhibition at Animas High School, don’t miss it. You will come away from it feeling great about the future for our younger generation.
