2011-12 Enrollment
Enrollment for AHS continues. The school continues to accept
enrollment for the 2011-12 school year. We are close to capacity and
looking forward to a full house next year. Help us spread the word to
friends, neighbors, teammates and anyone still interested in joining
us here at Animas High!
Additionally, students returning to AHS next year must submit their
re-enrollment materials and program fee to the Main Office ASAP!
Questions, contact maureen.truax@animashighschool.com
Advisory Olympics
The school?s 2nd annual Advisory Olympics will take place on Friday,
May 20th from 11:00 to 3:15. Beginning with an all-school lunch (no
lunch needed Friday!), students will spend the afternoon participating
in various challenge activities as advisory groups. Following the
competition, we'll have an award ceremony honoring successful advisory
groups as well as giving out our annual, all-school, scholastic awards.
School Improvement Day/Final Assembly
On Monday, May 23rd, AHS students will be participating in our final
School Improvement Day of 2010-11. Moving about in advisory groups,
students will perform many critical end of year tasks to get our
building prepped for the summer and set us up for a smooth re-entry
next fall. Students should wear work clothes and closed toe shoes.
Lunch will be available Monday from Zias. We will hold our final
assembly of the year, including our talent showcase, Monday afternoon.
tPOLs
By now, you should have received word from your student's Humanities
teacher regarding next week's Transitional Presentations of Learning.
Please make sure your student knows when they are scheduled to present
and panel and are that they are properly attired in professional
dress. Parents, help us by encouraging your student to rehearse their
tPOL with you this weekend! tPOLs are the final experience students
will be participating in at AHS this year. Once a student passes and
panels, they are done! Congrats Ospreys on another successful year and
very full year!
