LINK Update
In just a few short weeks, 47 AHS juniors
will be leaving AHS to embark upon their LINK internships. LINK is an
opportunity for students to gain real world work experience in a field of
interest to them, connect with the community, and to refine college and career
goals. Students attend their unpaid internship for three weeks, 30 hours each
week and create a project that is of benefit to the organization. Our LINK
internship program is scheduled to run from March 4th- 21st of 2013,
culminating in a LINK Exhibition where students will have the opportunity to
showcase their projects and internship experiences. We have enjoyed
overwhelming support from the Durango community and beyond and created some
exciting collaborations and partnerships with a wide range of organizations,
community leaders, and local businesses. Thank you to the following
businesses, organizations, and individuals for supporting the educational
goals of our students by providing internship opportunities.
