9th Grade Fiction and
Photoshop Project
Be sure to check out the online exhibition for our Freshmen
Fiction and Photoshop Project! A collaboration between
Humanities and Digital Arts, this project turned students into fiction writers
and graphic designers. Take a moment to browse through some creative
writing and art by this talented class of young Ospreys!

All Mathletes!
Tuesday, February 5th is the American Mathematics
Competition! The exam is the first
level of competition that leads students to the National and International
Mathematic Olympiads.
The AMC10 is offered to
Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2 students.
The AMC12 is offered to
students taking Pre-Calculus, Calculus or advanced courses.
Students will take the
75 minute exam from 8:15 am until 9:30 am in Cathy's room.
Any student who wants
to participate should register with their math teacher or directly with Cathy. Cathy
has examples of exams from previous years for students to practice. If
you are a MATHLETE or just want a challenge, sign up. No matter your
results, you can grow a lot from this experience as well documenting your participation
in the exam on your resume!

Final Week
for Parent Survey Completion
This is
the final week to complete our annual parent survey,
hosted live at the link below. Our annual parent survey is one of the most
important initiatives we facilitate each year. Our programs of excellence are a
direct result of input from our community. Parent and student voices
continue to shape our school and it’s crucial that we hear from your family!
In addition to using survey data to assess our
staff and program’s efficacy and impact, AHS uses the feedback gathered through
this annual exercise to help us analyze future needs, better allocate
programmatic resources, plan for future students/grades, populate state
performance frameworks and report to our stake holders, philanthropic
foundations, grantors and donors on the safety and satisfaction ratings as
articulated by our families. Please complete your parent survey today:
ACT Practice Exam at AHS
Animas Academics, the organization
that facilitates our in-house test prep courses for AHS students will be
administering a Saturday morning practice ACT test on February 9th from
8am-12pm. This test is available to any AHS student and the cost is
$20. Email kristi.good@animashighschool.com to reserve a
spot for your student.
